The Story of

Peace International Political Party

Peace International Political Party (PIPP) was co-founded by Kirin Taylor (me) and Michelle Macias in August of 2020.

This political party was conceptualized by me, as growing up I recognized that no political affiliation truly represented my principles, and while teaching comparative politics at St. John’s University, I began to realize that an international political party based around the actualization of international laws, human rights, and actions for peace was extremely needed.

We are excited to invite others from around the world into this political party

based on the principles found here:

The many multilateral issues facing our global society today cannot be faced by any one person, nation, group, alone. The climate crisis in particular, affects all people, and the people of the future, as well as other species and the earth itself. It is worth acknowledging that the Global South, and certain groups, including people experiencing poverty and homelessness, are among the first to experience the devastation that accompanies climate change.

This fact necessitates action from the international community to resolve the drivers of these issues and in reaction to the current signs of the times.

We acknowledge that democracy, in itself, is not enough to create peace in our societies, and in particular positive peace that is characterized by social justice. Factors including active and informed citizenship, connection to and care for the earth, guaranteed opportunities for self and communal cultivation and sufficiency,

and agentic leadership, are essential to peace as a process and end goal.

Party membership transcends borders, and members may express a prominent identity apart from national citizenship, should they so choose. The party’s design and administration will reflect its principles.

A manifesto and full disclosure of issue stances has yet to be created, because this must be done collectively with the first members to join.

PIPP's Website, Social Media, Manifesto, and Issue Stances are being developed by the current membership. For more information or to join, email: peaceinternationalpp@gmail.com
